You don’t need a hearing test to purchase any hearing aid. We do recommend you take a hearing test if you suspect you have hearing loss.

What cause hearing loss ?

A hearing loss can occur anywhere along the hearing pathway. There are many possible causes of hearing loss. Most hearing losses are associated with some damage to the hearing system or due to reduction in function as we age. However, everybody’s hearing loss is different and may have a different cause.

Will wearing Hearing-aids make my hearing loss better ?

Hearing aids can improve your ability to hear and communicate, however, hearing aids won’t be able to reverse your hearing loss or restore your hearing.

How does hearing loss work ?

The human ear is divided into three sections, namely the outer ear, middle ear and the inner ear. When we hear a sound, sound waves are sent through the outer, middle and inner ear up to the brain to be interpreted. We call this the hearing pathway. Any damage along this hearing pathway can prevent sound from being effectively transported to the brain, resulting in a loss of hearing.

My Hearing-aids broke, can i get new ones ?

If your hearing aids broke before the 1-year warranty period, depending on the cause and severity of the damage, they will be repaired. If you are liable to pay a charge for the repairs, we will inform you before they are repaired.

If my Hearing-aids are lost or stolen, can i get new Hearing-aids under the warranty provided ?

The warranty covers only manufacturing faults and damage.

When do i need to see a medical professional before buying a hearing aid ?

If you experience any of the conditions listed below, we suggest that you seek medical clearance if you have not previously seen a medical health professional with regards to the condition:

  • Any visible congenital or traumatic deformity of the ear or ear canal.
  • Any visible evidence of significant earwax build-up or history of excessive earwax build-up, or a foreign body in the ear canal.
  • Any fluid or active drainage (blood, pus, or other discharge, not wax) from the ear within the past 90 days.
  • Any recent or current pain, discomfort, ear infections, plugged-up, or feeling of fullness in the ear.
  • Any history of a punctured or perforated eardrum.
  • Any sudden, rapidly progressing, or changing hearing loss within the past 90 days.
  • Any present or onset of hearing loss on one side that worsened in the past 90 days.
  • Any spells of acute or chronic dizziness.
  • Any hearing loss only present on one side that worsened in the past 90 days.
  • Any hearing loss that has been investigated by a hearing health care professional and diagnosed as a conductive hearing loss, or air-bone gap.
  • Any tinnitus or ringing in one or both ears which began or worsened in the last 90 days.

Hearing aids have evolved to allow for remote programming meaning adjustments can be made from anywhere in the world. Ask one of our representatives to get more information. You may also take your hearing aids to any local office and have them adjusted.
